In the College of Education at North Carolina State
University, the Cultural Correspondents program is implemented by the Office of
International and Distance Education (I+DEA), in collaboration with the Office
of International Affairs .
The College of Education’s Cultural Correspondents program connects student teachers from NC State who are conducting their practicum overseas with k-12 classrooms in rural North Carolina. Faculty members from the College mentor these student-teachers during part of their international experience which creates excellent opportunities for addressing topics of culturally relevant teaching and learning practices. This program is open to other students abroad outside of the College of Education. |
